Gramayre Friesian Horse Stud is located at the foothills of the Otway Ranges, approximately 20 minutes from Lorne, Victoria, Australia.

We take pride in breeding the highest quality Dutch Friesian Horses, imported from the Netherlands. Our Friesians are registered with both the Dutch (FPS) Friesch Paarden Stamboek and the Australian (AFHS) Australian Friesian Horse Society.

Our breeding mares incorporate the baroque, classical and modern Friesian types. Friesian stallions are selected from the best dressage competition stallions within Australia that compliment our mares.

Gramayre Friesian horse Stud is committed in providing the horse enthusiast with not only a performance athlete that will excel at high levels of dressage and competition, but a horse so majestic and noble that their appearance will turn heads everywhere they go.

We have enjoyed breeding our magnificent Friesian Horses, but the time has come to alter course with our vision for the future for Gramayre.

We have introduced Knabstrupper bloodlines into our breeding program, and have been producing extraordinary sport horses with stunning looks, fantastic trainability and calm and gentle natures. These horses have wonderful conformation that helps them live a long and healthy life.

We have taken many of these horses along with our remaining Friesians and turned our attention to Equine Therapy.

We continue to breed 1 to 2 foals each year, sometimes a rest year with no foals.

But our horses are our Heart and Soul and we hope they can make a difference for the better to help ease people’s suffering.
